Indoor Winter Garden Update 2-17-2013: Giant Hydroponic Radish!

It's been a few weeks since my last indoor hydroponic garden update so here's what is going on.  The radishes have gone way past their harvest time but surprisingly they still taste great.  I just wanted to see how radishes would do in deep water culture hydroponics so here's the result in the video above.  The hydroponic stevia is doing way better that the stevia that was planted in soil.  I did plant a spinach plant in along with them but the radish leaves blocked the light and they are spindly...they should perk up soon.  Also my hydroponic tomatoes are producing.  I hope they finish before seed planting time because I need to use the lights for seedlings!  The rain tower is still going strong with lettuce and Dax from The Daily Paul built his version that is aquaponic.

A few hours after putting the unit back under lights you can see in the photo below that the stevia has straightened out.  I'll be cloning off these few plants to get as many as possible for the summer garden.
